Genesis Jazz Project's flagship ensemble is its 17-piece contemporary big band, honoring the traditions of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Stan Kenton, and others, while exploring more contemporary sounds of today's composers and arrangers (including GJP's own members and other local composers).
